Our Philosophy

Think like a fan.

 

We love TV. We love movies. We love the stories. We love the characters. We love it all. But, like most fans, we don’t love commercials that interrupt our favorite content. We fast forward, we skip or we delete. Unless...

...the commercial IS content.

 

Thinking like a fan requires tilting brands and their messages away from a conventional “features and benefits” approach to a less direct, more entertaining style. When the message becomes the content, viewers are more likely to watch and therefore associate that positive experience with the sponsoring brand.

 

The unique ability to create engaging content that perfectly aligns brands and products with their target audiences is our specialty.   Our goal is always to provide a simple and effective strategy to capture viewers in an ever changing multi-platform, multi-screen, multi-tasking landscape.

We’re storytellers.

 

Sure we have a couple of decades of experience as marketers. Yes, we’ve worked with big brands, hit series, blockbuster movies, global agencies, and major studios. And, it’s true that we’ve created and produced over three thousand strategic pieces including award-winning campaigns.

 

But what really makes us who we are is that we’re creative writers. Everything we do starts with a great idea and a solid script. Because we know that a good concept is fundamental to greatness.

 

And we make sure every project we work on is rooted in our core philosophy: Think like a fan.

 

Who’s watching? How are they watching? How do we engage them? There are a million ways to approach a project. But when done right, they all start with a fan’s perspective. So, when it’s time to write and create, we know exactly who we are talking to.

 

And when you understand your audience, anything is possible.

Our Team

Prior to joining Tilted, Joe held senior creative positions at agencies including BBDO, Grey, DMB&B, and AC&R serving clients such as Pepsi, GE, Campbell’s, and Foot Locker. Additionally, Joe spent six years as the Vice President, Advertising of Warner Bros. Films where he helped market films that collectively grossed over five billion dollars including the Harry Potter series and The Matrix Trilogy.

Joy DiPalma

Joy began her career as a marketing executive for NBC TV before moving over to Beantown Productions to serve as Creative Director.  She later made the move to long form production where she produced several reality and documentary series including The E! True Hollywood Story, What Should You DO?, He’s A Lady and House Hunters.  Prior to Tilted, Joy launched and served as Co-Executive Producer on the television series Corrupt Crimes.

Sue Bailey

Creative Director Sue Bailey’s award-winning experience includes co-branding advertisers with network content for brands including Disney, Anheuser Busch, Burger King, and Mercedes Benz.  Sue has also created successful franchise ad sales campaigns across multiple platforms for television series including Sons of Anarchy, Justified, The Americans, Louie, and The League.  Recent clients include FX, FXX, Hershey’s, Volkswagen, BMW and Paramount Pictures.
